The German Healthcare Partnership hosted the first German-Arab Health Conference with its cooperation partners Ghorfa and the North-Africa Middle East Initiative and with the support of many sponsors, including Siemens Healthineers as the Platin Sponsor of the event.

The event took place on the 18th and 19th of October, kicking off with a gala dinner at the Waldorf Astoria on the eve of the conference, and continued with the conference day at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski. The topic was Saudi Arabia’s healthcare transformation under the reform scheme “Vision 2030” and the opportunities and challenges associated with this rapid transformation. Dr. Khalid Al-Shaibani, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for Health and Planning and Director of the Vision Realiziation Office, and Brigitte Zypries, Germany’s Minister for Economic Development and Energy, were the guests of honour.
