German Healthcare Partnership, Merck and vfa – the Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies in Germany jointly held the conference
Digital Health – Improving Prevention, Prediction and Care
A Global, European and German Opportunity
The conference took place on the 31st of January 2018 at the Allianz Forum in Berlin. With almost 230 participants the conference was a great success. Dirk Wiese, Parliamentary State Secretary, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy held the political keynote.
Various stakeholders interested in digital health and especially the digitally empowered fields of prevention, prediction and care came together in order to talk about strategies and actions to achieve the digital transformation of healthcare systems. While the first panel offered technological and scientific perspectives and a future vision of digital health, the second panel focused on user experience and impact of these technologies and what users might see as future needs when it comes to digital health.
At the end of the conference participants had the opportunity to get a glimpse of innovative concepts at the Health Futures Gallery, where the important role of displays to engage and support patients in the areas of diagnosis, prevention and prediction or even ambulance service and hospital care was demonstrated.
